To help Americans continue to make sense of their history and of the world around them, NEH is launching an initiative: We the People. NEH encourages scholars, teachers, filmmakers, curators, and librarians to submit grant applications that explore significant events and themes in our nation's history and culture and that advance knowledge of the principles that define America. NEH is accepting We the People proposals to all programs and at all deadlines. Proposals are expected to meet the guidelines of program that best fits the character of the project. A list of programs and deadlines is available on NEH's website. Proposals responding to the initiative can take the form of:
